DEXTER - Dale Pursell, 79, died April 11, 2006, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Sept. 28, 1926, in Bernie, son of the late Henry A. and Orlena Coats Pursell, he had lived all his life in Dexter. He was a retired mail carrier with the Dexter Post Office, a member of the First Nazarene Church in Dexter and a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during World War II.
On Nov. 28, 1946, in Dexter, he married Margaret Jean Porter who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Phyllis Pursell of Florissant and Tony and Elaine Pursell of Dexter; five grandchildren, Kevin Pursell, Danielle Pursell, Kelly Pursell, John Pursell and Ashley Battles; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Elbert Pursell and Virgil Pursell; and one sister, Dora Gwin, also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Roger Wooten of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
