DPS employee of the fourth quarter

Mayor Mike Marshall, pictured right, recently recognized Sikeston Department of Public Safety Officer Bethany McDermott as Sikeston's DPS employee of the fourth quarter. McDermott, who has been assigned to the Fire Division since May, was honored for her work ethic and commitment to DPS operations. In addition to completing both Hazardous Materials Incident Response Awareness Level and Operations Level courses, she maintains a high off-duty fire response percentage for both local and out-of-town fires and is always available to assist when overtime is needed.
