Said internist-nephrologist, Ponder Funeral Home, Contours Express, Rotary Club, Colleen Hunter-

Pearson, M.D., Mahmoud Ziaee - Missouri Delta Radiology, Randy's RX, Food Giant, Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium Fatherhood First Program, the Sikeston Elks Lodge, Pepsi MidAmerica and Susie's Bake Shoppe.

We are very excited with the turnout and are happy to present this new event to our Sikeston and Miner communities. The Rodeo Run was just part of a big week for our area as we once again "rodeo." The Jaycees are again doing us proud by putting on a great four nights of entertainment.

Other activities that will be taking place on Friday and Saturday is the Cowboy Up Festival that will start at 1 p.m. Friday ending at 6 p.m. The Saturday festivities begin at 10 a.m. with cowboy poets followed by "Lunch with the Rodeo Clowns" at 11 a.m. and musical entertainment from 1-6 p.m. There will also be craft booths and kids games on Friday and Saturday.

For more information about the Cowboy Up Festival call the Depot at 481

We continue with our Redneck Barbecue plans for Sept. 16. The cookers will start arriving on Friday the 15th at the Sikeston Rodeo grounds where they will participate in the Wuzzat competition Friday night sponsored by Good Humor-Breyers Ice Cream.

The KCBS competition continues on Saturday with teams competing in four categories. There is $3,600 in prize money that will be awarded that day along with trophies and ribbons.

Come out and watch the action, bring the kids out for the kids' games, petting zoo, Dippin' Dots and a Yum Yum Shake to name a few of the vendors and activities going on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Saturday.

The Sikeston Jaycees will host their second annual Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Rotary Park so spend the day in Sikeston enjoying barbecue and great cars.
