BENTON - A rural Oran residence was broken into Wednesday morning, and police are still searching for the suspects.
Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said the suspects are a man and a woman. The incident occurred when one of them rang the front door bell several times of the residence. By the time the owner got to the front door, there was no one there and no car in the driveway.
The victim then walked to the back of the house where she saw the two suspects standing inside the house, near the back doorway.
She asked what they wanted and they both ran from the house, leaving in a small, blue four-door car. It had numerous stickers on the back glass and back of the trunk and had Missouri license plates.
The driver is described as a white male, bald and thin, about 5-feet, 10-
inches tall, wearing a gray, sleeveless shirt.
The passenger is a white female, reddish brown short hair, heavy build, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall, wearing a beige T-shirt. Both suspects are in their 20s.
If anyone has any information about the suspects and/or the vehicle they are requested to call the Scott County Sheriff's Department at 545-3525 or 471
