DEXTER - Keith Meade Minton, 82, died Nov. 10, 2006, in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 30, 1923, in rural Bernie, to the late Roy Burton and Sara Jane Meade Minton, he lived his entire life in the Pyle community, where he was a farmer. He served on the FHA Board, was president of the MFA Board and a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Church. He was awarded the A.C. Burrous service award by the Missouri Electric Cooperative for his 20 years of service on the Ozark Border Electric Board.
On July 25, 1948, he married Betty Davis, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Davis Minton and Bradley Minton of Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Meade Minton; and one sister, Aurellia Jennings, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Burial will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery, near Pyle.
