FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Lawrence E. "Larry" Coots, 39, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died June 18, 2006, at his home.
Born Feb. 23, 1967, in Sikeston, Mo., to Brenda Galemore Coots of Loveland and Zan D. Coots of Fort Smith, Ark., he had lived most of his life in Charleston before moving in 1990 to Fort Collins. He graduated in 1985 from Charleston High School and then served for three years in the United States Army. He had worked for the Fort Collins Police Force and Hewlitt Packard. He received a Bachelor of Science in animal science from Colorado State University and had worked as a licensed real estate agent and a self-
employed horse trainer.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: two sisters, Dora Lynne Patterson of Charlotte, N.C. and Kristen Coots of Conway, Ark.; his stepmother, Linda Coots of Fort Smith; his maternal grandfather, L.E. Galemore of Charleston; two special friends, Lori Shengle of Loveland and Eleanor Granade of Fort Collins; and three nieces and one nephew.
His maternal grandmother, Helen Roach Galemore, preceded him in death.
Memorial services are scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday at the home of Eleanor Granade in Fort Collins. The Rev. Dean Henderson, pastor of Crossroads Covenant Church in Loveland, will officiate.
