NEW MADRID - Gertrude Burrage, 57, died April 17, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 22, 1948, in New Madrid County, daughter of the late Roscoe and Elizabeth Davis Strong, she was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Marston.
She was united in marriage to Al "Gene" Burrage, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, April and Cliff Strong of Florissant; two stepsons, Earl Burton of Howardville and Larry Burrage of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Willie Strong and James Strong of Hannibal, Jerry Strong of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert Strong of Quincy, Ill.; four sisters, Lovie Holmes and Rose Marie McGill of Portageville, Darlene Strong of Poplar Bluff and Brenda Strong of New Madrid; four nephews whom she raised, Adam Strong and Quentin Strong of Poplar Bluff, Johnny Treadwell of Sikeston and Adrain Strong of Cape Girardeau; and one grandchild, Tobias Strong of Florissant.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of services at 1 p.m. at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Marston. The Rev. Kirk Dunnavant will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lily of the Valley Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville is in charge of arrangements.
