SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulls dropped their third straight with a 3-2 loss to the Tennessee T's on Sunday at VFW Memorial Stadium.
The defeat dumped the Bulls into the basement of the six-team Kit League standings with a 1-3 record.
Tied at 2-2 going into the ninth inning, the T's scored the game-winning run off reliever Ryan Anderson, spoiling a stellar effort by starter Justin Green. Green went 7 1/3 innings, giving up one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and five walks.
The Bulls, led by Jared Elmore and Clint Wallace with two hits each, outhit the T's 8-5.
Sikeston suffered another close loss, again on a last-inning rally, on Saturday, falling 3-1 to Tennessee. The T's, currently the league frontrunner, scored two runs in the top of the ninth for the victory.
Bulls' starter Andrew Moss took the hard-luck loss, going 8 2/3 innings while giving up three runs -- two earned -- on five hits with six strikeouts and five walks.
Anthony Albonetti picked up the win, tossing a three hitter in seven innings with eight strikeouts and four bases on balls.
Former Sikeston High School standout Jamie Puckett, Sean Bard, Tyson Mulvaney and Wil Moore split the Bull's four hits.
