James Roberson

SIKESTON -- James Roberson, 73, died April 14, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born July 8, 1932, at Hayti, to the late James W. and Dora Hamilton Roberson, he was retired from Pullen Brothers Trucking. A United States Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Eagles and Henry Meldrum American Legion Post.

On May 16, 1959, he married Bessie Eaves who preceded him in death in September 1996.

Survivors include: two sons, Ricky Roberson of Sikeston and Tony Roberson of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Tina Vaught of Hayti and Ronda Gladden of Portageville; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn with Ponder Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
