DEXTER - Julia Ann Minton, 63, died March 18, 2008, at her home near Dexter.
Born July 20, 1944, at Valporaiso, Ind., to Gladys Leverich Steimel of Dexter and the late Lowell Leverich, she was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Dexter and was a department head of the Physical Therapy Department at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
On June 5, 1966, at Catlin, Ill., she married Dr. John Minton, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Tina and Dain Bess of Dexter and Traci Minton of Gilford, N.H.; four sisters, Glee Cumbow and Carol Smock of Danville, Ill. and Glenda Defrain and Jean Davidson of Houston, Texas; and two granddaughters, Cassidy Paige Bess and Sydney Ann Bess.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Hoyt and Dr. Kevin Chenoweth will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
