BERNIE - Annie Lee Palmer, 76, died Aug. 13, 2006, at her home.
Born Feb. 28, 1930, at Hackelburg, Ala., daughter of the late Alanzo and Sallie Vines Farr, she and her husband owned and operated the Bootheel Jamboree in Bernie. She was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Bernie.
On Feb. 10, 1956, at Hernando, Miss., she married John Wesley Palmer Jr. who preceded her in death on May 3, 2001.
Two daughters, Linda Jane Ford and Debra Palmer; four brothers, Wesley Farr, Alvin Farr, Allen Farr and Albert Farr; and four sisters, Rhoda Farr, Lonie Farr, Ellen Hardin and Minnie Mullineaux also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Jack Palmer, Ron Palmer and Johnny Palmer of Bernie, Larry Palmer of Bloomfield and Randy Palmer of Glennburnie, Md.; five daughters, Sandra Cryts, Linda Merritt, Rita Burch and Sally Cloninger of Bernie and Brenda Smith of Bloomfield; three sisters, Janie Moceri of St. Louis and Mamie Patterson and Eunice Hicks of Sikeston; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ivan Mekan will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
