BLOOMFIELD - Roy M. Kester, 77, died Nov. 1, 2007, at his home.
Born Oct. 11, 1930, in Puxico, son of the late George and Dicey Prince Kester, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a construction engineer, building roads and bridges for many years.
On May 30, 1959, he married Eunice Hunter Kester, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Aurther Kester, Paul Kester, and John Kester; and four sisters, Violet Brandt, Pauline Slaughter, Arlene Barcliff, and Helen Gann.
Survivors include: one son, Ricky Hickman of Palm Springs, Calif.; three daughters, Debbie DeJournett of Puxico, Paula Kester of Springfield and Tammy Sielert of Dexter; one brother, Elvis Kester of Dexter; one sister, Ulah Montagno of Bandera, Texas; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday. The Rev. Dwight Hensley will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
