SIKESTON -- Dorothy Rogers, 75, died July 8, 20058, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born May 1, 1933, in New Orleans, to the late Charles Norman and Esther Godson Paris, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she had been an organist. She had also been an organist at Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian, MIss. and was a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America.

On June 7, 1953, she married Howard Rogers, who died April 24, 2000.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Mark Rogers of Brandon, Miss.; one daughter, Esther Boyd of Sikeston; one brother, Wade Paris of Kirksville; one sister, Elaine Herndon of California; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Arnold Hoffman officiating. A service will be held Tuesday at Stephens Funeral Home in Meridian, Miss.

Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
