SIKESTON -- Willie James "Cadillac Willie" Ellis Sr., 67, died July 8, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Feb. 26, 1941, in Belene, Miss., son of the late James and Viola Wilson Ellis, he was a member of the West End Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1962, he married Eddie Jean Bell who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and one daughter-in-law, Willie "John Boy" Ellis and Patrick Ellis of Sikeston, Robert Lee Ellis of Cape Girardeau and Cardale and Patricia Ellis of Hannibal; two daughters, Rosemary Ellis and Minnie Lou "Mamie" Ellis of Sikeston; two brothers, Ulysses Neal of Sikeston and Robert Ellis of Cape Girardeau; eight sisters, Luebirda Lott, Ruby Mosby, Dorothy Mhoon, Callie Weakley, Penny Whitney and Mattie Harris of Sikeston, Mary Edwards of Memphis, Tenn., and Mary Richards of Chicago; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the West End Missionary Baptist Church with Roosevelt Weakley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
The Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
