SIKESTON -- Mary "Doatsie" Headlee, 64, died at 11:55 p.m. July 20, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1943, in Sikeston, to the late James E. and Martha Melinda Oliver Hodges, she was a 1961 Sikeston High School graduate, a housewife and of the Protestant belief.

On Nov. 12, 1961, she married Bill Headlee, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Frank Sevic of Sikeston; two sisters, Pat Higdon of Dexter and Carol Riley of Benton; one grandson, Corey Sevic of Sikeston; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Hodges; one sister, Janet Helms; and one infant sister.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Tom Walls of Evansville officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Frank Sevic, Richard Riley II, Clinton Helms, Kevin Pobst, Brian Livingston and Doug Cox.
