Born Nov. 19, 1940, in Essex, to the late John and Veda Boyd Baker, she had lived most of her life in and around Matthews, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had worked as a cook in many area restaurants.
On Oct. 5, 1963, she married Eugene "Gene" Woodall, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Derek McKown of Sikeston; two grandsons, Caleb Crum and Nathaniel McKown, both of Sikeston; one brother, Harold Yancy of Sikeston; three sisters, Kathy Taylor of Matthews, Norma Busby of Anna, Ill., and Ruth Avery of Essex; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: four brothers, Elbert Baker, Jack Baker, Johnny Baker and one in infancy; and three sisters, Polly Burch, Shirley Jean and one in infancy.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jamie Jones of Kansas City, Mo., will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
