EAST PRAIRIE - Danny Wayne Presson, 65, died at 8:40 a.m. July 28, 2008, at his home.
Born Sept. 29, 1942, in St. Louis, to Marjorie Horton Presson of East Prairie and the late Lowell Wayne Presson, he lived in East Prairie most of his life. He was employed by Burkhart Manufacturing in Cairo and later by the Community Sheltered Workshop in Sikeston until ill health forced him to retire on Oct. 26, 2007. He was a member of the Nelson United Methodist Church in East Prairie.
Besides his mother, survivors include: one nephew, Nick Presson of Denver, Colo.; and many relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Dan Usher officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Bishop, Andrew Ambrose, Joe Sorrells, Mike Hogan, Bill Ponder and Dr. Jim Heath. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Del Rial.
