CARUTHERSVILLE -- A warrant arrest for a Caruthersville man on Tuesday resulted in the filing of drug charges.
According to the Caruthersville Police Department, Don Griffin, 26, was arrested around 4:29 p.m. Tuesday on a felony warrant for criminal non-support. While being transported to the Pemiscot County Justice Center, police found him to be in possession of several small bags of marijuana for individual sale. Officers seized the marijuana and packaged it as evidence.
Griffin will now face felony drug charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility.
The charges are pending a formal filing from the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney.
