MALDEN - Jerry H. Johnson, 75, died July 29, 2008, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born July 17, 1933, to the late James Homer "Shorty" Johnson and Lemma Harris Johnson, he was part-owner of Patty Cake Bakery in Malden, a retired church builder and worked at Houchin's Donuts in Sikeston. He was a member of the General Baptist Church in Malden.
On Dec. 9, 1951, in Malden, he married Pat McGill, who preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2006.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Eric Hays of Malden and Sherry Johnson and Kenny Bridger of Sikeston; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Anne Johnson of League City, Texas; one brother, Charles Johnson of Malden; two sisters, Marilee Jacobitz and Martha Singleton of Clinton, Ill.; and two granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and two great-stepgrandsons.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. today at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. The Revs. Jack Allen, Howard Winberry and Bill Hampton will officiate.
Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
