PORTAGEVILLE - A series of church burglaries are apparently solved with the arrest of three juveniles.
During the past several weeks, according to Portageville Police Chief Ronnie Adams, the First Baptist Church on Seventh Street had been broken into four times and the Methodist Church on on Fifth Street burglarized three times.
Adams said a tip to police led them to a home of a juvenile. During a search of the residence, items taken in the burglaries were discovered.
Adams said three juveniles were arrested in connection with the burglaries and some of the missing items were recovered.
