COPPERAS COVE, Texas -- Joe and Myrna Hart have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amy Jean Hart to Peter Joseph Friese, son of Donald and Susan Friese of Sedalia, Mo.

The future bride is a graduate of Copperas Cove High School and Texas A&M. She received her master's degree from Tarlington State University and is employed as a research analyst at the U.S. Army Operational Test Command at Fort Hood. She is the granddaughter of LaQuita Hall of Kingston, Okla. and the late Louis Hall and Andi and Bobbie Bartush.

The prospective bride groom graduated in 2000 from Smith-Cotton High School. He is an E4 Army specialist and is currently stationed in Afghanistan. He is the grandson of Wilber Friese of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Alice Gardner of Sikeston, Mo. and the late Bettie Friese and Lincoln Scherer.

Plans are under way for an Oct. 19 wedding in Salado.
