Born Aug. 31, 1942, in New Madrid County, to the late Fred and Hazel Faye McMillian Williams, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County. She was a retired visiting nurse and also a volunteer for 17 years with the American Red Cross. She was also a member of the Assembly of God Church in East Prairie.
In September 1961, she married Bill Mitchell who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two brothers, James A. Williams of East Prairie and Tommy Williams of Beloit, Wis.; three sisters, Mildred Tanksley and Artie Mansfield of East Prairie and Marilyn Joyce Goyco of Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. until time of memorial services at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the First of Assembly of God Church in East Prairie. The Rev. Billy Weber will officiate.
