CANALOU -- Charles Swallows, 75, died Aug. 25, 2008, at his home.
Born Sept. 22, 1932, in Dexter, to the late Charley and Lula Swan Swallows, he had lived in Dexter for many years and in Canalou for the past 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie.
Survivors include: one son, Andy Swallows of Fulton, Ky.; one daughter, Debbie K. Browder of Fulton; one brother, Elmer Swallows of Dexter; one sister, Florence Sanders of Dexter; two stepsons, Larry DeJournett of Fulton and Rocky DeJournett of Puxico; and one stepdaughter, Linda Markel of Fulton.
One brother, Anderson Swallows, preceded him in death.
Visitation is at noon Wednesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter followed by graveside services at 1 p.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield. Stephen Watkins of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow.
