SIKESTON -- Frederick William Johnson, 94, formerly of St. Louis, died at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28, 2008, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born June 22, 1914, in Allistown, Ill., son of the late Richard Stanley and Frances Jane Bennett Johnson, he was a member of the Machinist Local No. 387 in St. Louis. He was of the Lutheran belief.
On March 28, 1942, he married Mary Anne Snyder who preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2005.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancee and Jude Williams of Sikeston and Lisa Johnson of St. Louis; two granddaughters and their spouses, Tracee and Carl Bone of Charleston and Judee and Matt Gaeta of Cape Girardeau; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Gaeta, Nicholas Gaeta and Samuel Gaeta of Cape Girardeau.
One sister, Alice Pizzuto, preceded him in death.
Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Cliff Shirrell of Concordia Lutheran Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
