SIKESTON -- Steven O. Worthington, 48, died at 6:19 p.m. Sept. 1, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born May 11, 1960, in Limestone, Maine, to Mildred Ferris Worthington of Sikeston and the late James Franklin Worthington.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: three daughters and one son-in-law, Beth and Tim Gallagher of Covington, Tenn., Rebecca Worthington of Champion, Ohio and Rachel Worthington of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Alisa Worthington and David and Sonya Worthington of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Spirit Life Ministries Church in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Mike Tinnin, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Revs. Curtis True and Jack Hargraves.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Atchley, David Evans, Ray Merrick, Kyle Newkirk, Adam Tinnin and Sam Worthington.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
