SIKESTON - Sikeston American Legion Post 114 officially opened their new trailer with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The trailer, which will serve as the food stand, was donated by Gary and Judy Weed. It was rebuilt with the assistance of the Sons of the American Legion, a youth organization for young men and boys whose fathers or grandparents served during time of conflict.

HAYTI - With Ed Nichols back as head coach of the East Prairie football program, the Eagles hope to return to the winning days when he coached them three years ago. They got off to a real good start Friday night by shutting out Hayti on the Indians' home field 32-0 for a SEMO South Division Conference victory.
