CARUTHERSVILLE - A Caruthersville man is in custody in connection with a stabbing which left another resident in critical condition.
At 4:56 p.m. Saturday, Caruthersville police officers were flagged down on East Seventh Street by Gary Hatley. Hatley, 44, appeared to have a stab wound to his right chest area, according to a news release issued by the Caruthersville Police Department.
Hatley was flown to the Med in Memphis, Tenn., for treatment. He is listed in critical but stable condition, City Marshal Chris Riggs reported.
Officers subsequently arrested Crozet Wiley, 55, on charges of first degree felony assault. He is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
