SIKESTON -- John Waddell Watson, 68, formerly of Bertrand, died at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 12, 2008, at the Miner Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 9, 1940, in Blodgett, to the late Waddell and Mary Eskew Watson, he was a retired truck driver.

He first married Nedra Dockins who preceded him in death. On Nov. 12, 1998, he married Gwendolyn R. Rosenberger who preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 2006.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Clinton Watson.

Survivors include: his stepmother, Pearlie Mae Watson of Morehouse; one son, Gregory Watson of the state of Illinois; and three brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Blodgett Cemetery.

The Nunnelee Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
