CHARLESTON -- Kimberly Anne Halter and Jason Clark Riseling were united in marriage during a 1 p.m. ceremony Aug. 30, 2008, at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiated and Frank Stallings of Charleston assisted.
The bride is the daughter of Philip and Francine Halter of Charleston, and the bridegroom is the son of Ted and Dana Riseling of Tulsa, Okla.
The organ music for the wedding ceremony was provided by Terry Parker who also accompanied Mary Katherine Branum with the vocals. The wedding liturgy was read by Margaret Ann Mhoon, aunt of the bride.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a Jasmine Bridal creation of ivory tissue taffeta and lace. The A-line gown featured a v-neck with illusion-beaded lace straps. The asymmetrical taffeta pleated bodice gathered to the side and extended into the beaded lace skirt with a scalloped hemline. The back of the gown displayed a Tiffany train. The bride's ivory, single-layer, fingertip veil was adorned with pewter-beaded embroidery. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white callas, bi-color and white roses, gardenias, white Dendrobium orchids and needle-point ivy.
The mother-of-the-bride's ensemble consisted of a floor-length slate blue Dupioni silk dress by Watters Designs with a matching cardigan jacket.
The matron of honor was Francesca Hahn of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Alison Thomas of Tulsa, sister of the bridegroom. They wore Serene blue, floor-length, satin, sleeveless, trumpet two-piece dresses with beaded, empire bodices. The flower girl was Carrie Riseling of Tulsa, daughter of the bridegroom.
Best man was Mark Lemaster of Tulsa, and the groomsman was Jay Glanzer of Trimble. The candle lighter was James Conn, uncle of the bride. Ushers were James, Richard and Patrick Conn, uncles of the bride. Guest book attendants were Madeline and Caroline Burke, cousins of the bride.
A wedding reception and dance followed at the Charleston Country Club with music provided by Charlie's Music Review of Scott City.
Pre-wedding activities included a bachelorette party Aug. 28 at Cheer's in Sikeston. On the morning before the wedding, a bridal shower was hosted at the Mississippi County Historical Society in Charleston. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at Susie's Bake Shoppe and Restaurant in Sikeston.
The new Mrs. Riseling is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and is employed as operations supervisor with Nalco Chemical Corporation in Tulsa.
Riseling is a graduate of Tulsa Technology Center with a degree in cyber forensics and is employed as manager of evidence services for Oklahoma Digital Forensics Professionals.
The couple are making their home in Tulsa.
