Melba Nichols

MATTHEWS -- Melba Maxine Nichols, 75, died at 12:55 a.m. Sept. 24, 2008, at Close to Home Nursing Home in Matthews.

Born April 30, 1933, at Sikeston, to the late Orville and Beulah Westmoland Nichols, she had worked as a farm laborer.

She is survived by one brother, Orville Eugene Nichols of Corning, Ark.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Dewayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
