MALDEN -- Elizabeth Virginia Thomason, 89, died Sept. 25, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 22, 1919, in Harrell, Ark., to the late Irwin Napolean and Irene Abernathy Williams, she was a member of First Christian Church in Malden.

On Oct. 30, 1936, at Tinsman, Ark., she married Nolan Travis Thomason, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1984.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Williams and Emery Oliver; and one sisters, Dorothy Thomason.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Wanda Thomason and Royce and Shelby Thomason of Malden and Ronald and Nola Thomason of Bernie; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alice and Larry Smith of Cape Girardeau and Margaret Bess of Puxico; one brother, LaVerne Williams of Sikeston; one sister, Imogene Russell of Creve Coeur; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Jeff Krupinski will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
