CHAFFEE -- Betty Loretta Halter, 90, died Sept. 26, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 15, 1918, in Brownwood, to the late Harry and Ruby Mae Hopkins Hindman, she was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee.
In May 1933, she married Hurshel Hunsacker who preceded her in death. On Feb. 16, 1947, she married Philip "Boda" Halter and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: one son, David Halter of Chaffee; two daughters, Maxine Scott and Jo Ann Rister of Chaffee; and 10 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Jack Bishop officiated.
Burial followed in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
