SIKESTON -- Dorothy Stout, 73, died Sept. 28, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 5, 1934, in Matthews, daughter of the late Clyde and Ella Houser Scott, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Miner.
On Aug. 29, 1959, at Farrenburg, she married Allyn Stout who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Leasa LaFerney of Morehouse; one brother, Oda Scott of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Melba Hardgrave of Farrenburg; two grandchildren, Derrick Shaver of Bentonville, Ark., and Brian Shaver of Jackson; and one great grandson, Aidan Shaver of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Scott Allyn Stout and Kevin Lee Stout; and two brothers and one sister.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating.
Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: Gary Dunham, Darren Eby, Mike Burton, Pat Burton, Donald Plunk and Ray Merrick.
