SIKESTON - Sgt. John Mallot of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety participated in Fire Arms Training Simulator training Tuesday at Fire Station No. 2 on North Main St. Operating F.A.T.S. was Scott County Sheriff Tom Beardslee, F.A.T.S. was on loan for use Monday and Tuesday to the Sikeston DPS and surrounding law enforcement agencies by the regional FBI office.

SIKESTON - The students at Lee Hunter Elementary got a special treat for not having a fight for the month of September. Lee Hunter along with other schools in the Sikeston School District are in the program "Fight Free." As an incentive for being fight free, David and Harriet Craig bought ice cram for the students at Lee Hunter.

SIKESTON - Going into Friday night's high school football match-up between the Sikeston Bulldogs and the Cape Central Tigers, most fans thought it would be a good game, possibly one that would go down to the wire. Instead, the Bulldogs ambushed the Tigers at Public Schools Stadium in a game that was never close, 47-17.
