ORAN -- Thomas Henry Eftink, 67, died Oct. 11, 2008, at Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 15, 1941, at Portageville, to the late Henry J. "H.J." and Delpha Kathleen LaFont Eftink, he was a self employed farmer and had worked at Buzzi Unicem in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the National Guard and the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, where he was a member of St. Joseph Sodality and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4311.
On April 20, 1963, he married Mary Ann Goetz, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Brad Eftink of Sikeston and Jeff Eftink of St. Paul; two daughters, Laura Criddle of Cape Girardeau and Sandy Norwick of Mountain Home, Ark.; six brothers, Edward M. Eftink of Ozark, Michael J. Eftink of Gordonville, Larry R. Eftink of Springfield, David F. Eftink of Oran, Louis M. Eftink of Sedgwick, Kan., and Kenneth J. Eftink of Bloomfield; one sister, Barbara J. Jarvins of St. Louis; and 12 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and rosary at 7:15 p.m. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Monsignor Edward Eftink and the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Camden Criddle, David Eftink, Kenneth Eftink, Michael Eftink, Larry Eftink and Louis Eftink.
