SIKESTON -- Mary Lou Freeman, 63, of Sikeston, died at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 12, 2008, at her daughter's home in Rossford, Ohio.

Born Aug. 16, 1945, in St. Louis, daughter of Gretha (Marlin) McCants of Sikeston and the late Radie King, she was a charter member of the Sikeston Eagles Club and of the Pentecostal belief.

She was married to James Lewis; he preceded her in death. She later married M.A. Freeman; he also preceded her in death.

She was also preceded by her grandparents, Ethridge and Sara Marlin; and two grandsons and one stepgrandson.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and John Head of Rossford, and Sheila and Kenneth Savage and Kimberly and Jamey Merritt of Sikeston; two brothers, Dean King of Sikeston and James McCants of Bertrand; and five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home, with Eagles service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Austin Maxwell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
