DEXTER -- Bill Jackson, 84, died Oct. 13, 2008, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.
Born July 15, 1924, in Kennett, to the late John F. Jackson and Grace Davis Jackson, he was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Southwest Nazarene Church in Dexter.
On Oct. 16, 1949, in Kennett, he married Jane Rhew, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Jean Finn Jackson of Somonauk, Ill.; two grandchildren, Terry Allen Jackson II of Somonauk and Jody Jackson of Plainfield, Ill.; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were: one son, Terry Allen Jackson; three brothers, Eugene Jackson, John Harlen Jackson, and Russell Jackson; and one sister, Gladys McNew.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of services at noon at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Ed Stoner officiating.
Graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
