Nicklas Presson

DENVER - Nicklas Wayne Presson, 25, died Oct. 1, 2008, in Denver.

Born Dec. 29, 1982, in St. Louis, he was a graduate of Georgetown High School and attended the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver where he majored in painting. He was an artist and a musician.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Debra Parker McKenzie and Keith T. McKenzie of Denver; and his grandmothers, Marjorie R. Presson of East Prairie, Mo., and Anita L. Key of Benton, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald D. Presson, one brother, Neil T. Presson; his grandfather, Wayne Presson; and an uncle, Danny Presson.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, 106 E. Washington St. in East Prairie.

A private family gathering will follow at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
