Born July 26, 1911, at Bloomfield, son of the late Alfred Leroy and Cora Elizabeth Dempsey Creed, he spent all his life in southeast Missouri and was a retired farmer.
He married Floye Juanita White who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Doy Creed Jr. of Dexter and Kenny Creed of Olive Branch, Miss.; three daughters, Jan Crowley of Dexter, Carolyn McLaughlin of Holt and Joyce Vandeutekom of Maryville, Ill.; one sister, Carrie Capps of Washington, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday
Burial will follow in the Rock Rill Cemetery near Puxico.
