SIKESTON -- Myrtle Mae Wallace, 76, died at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 17, 2008, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 29, 1932, in the Windyville community of Mississippi County, to the late Albert Daniel and Mamie Inez Green Dillie, she had lived in Sikeston since 1978 and was a child care provider. She was of the Church of Christ belief.

She married Billy James Wallace who preceded her in death in 1980.

Also preceding her in death were: one grandson, Hugh Baker; two brothers, Luther Dillie and Murel Dillie; and two sisters, Inez Brown and Mary Elizabeth Passley.

Survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Butch and Brenda Baker of Bertrand, Mickey Baker and Elven and Tammy Baker of Sikeston and Webster and Wendy Wallace of Princeton, Ky.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Myris Branch of Tucson, Ariz., and Teresa and Jeff Joyner of Bells, Tenn.; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston with Bill Bradley, minister at the Church of Christ in Morley, officiating.

Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
