BLOOMFIELD -- Wanda Loraine Chandler, 77, died Oct. 20, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 23, 1930, at Dexter, to the late Clyde and Evelyn Harris Triplett, she was a former resident of Flint, Mich., where she retired from General Motors. In 1977, she moved to Bloomfield and was employed as executive director of the Bloomfield Housing Project, retiring after 25 years of service. She was an active member of the Bloomfield Red Hat Society.
On Nov. 4, 1970, she married Howard Chandler who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Roger Isaac of Flushing, Mich., and Connie and Bernard Cobb of Burton, Mich.; one brother, Dan Triplett of Burton; four sisters, Claudia Simpson of Mayville, Mich., Penny Woodby of Plant City, Fla., Bonnie Sayer of Mesa, Ariz., and Louise Clancy of Traverse City, Mich.; and three grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith; one brother, Timothy; and one grandson.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
