SIKESTON -- Sybil Jane Wathen, 71, died at 12 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born May 2, 1937, in Lilbourn, to the late Burnie Lee and Beulah Heath Chambers, she was the executive housekeeper at Missouri Delta Medical Center and a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church.

On March 3, 1957, at Lilbourn, she married Charles D. Wathen who preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 2005.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Stacy Wathen of Foothill Ranch, Calif., and Paul and Jeana Wathen of Fredericktown; and five grandchildren, Madison Wathen and Lydia Wathen of Fredericktown and Luke Wathen, Jake Wathen and Emma Wathen of Foothill Ranch.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. Friday until time of memorial services at 6 p.m. at the Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Goodwin, pastor, will officiate.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
