ST. JOSEPH -- Robert E. Brashears, 71, died Oct. 25, 2008, at his home.

Born Dec. 15, 1936, in East Prairie, son of the late Claude and Helen Brashears, he lived since 1993 in St. Joseph, where he was a member of Hillcrest Bible Church and was a manager for storage facilities. He was also a veteran serving in the Air Force.

His wife, Suanne Brashears, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Claude Brashears, Robert Brashears Jr. and Jason Brashears, all of St. Joseph; stepson, Eric John of Overland Park, Kan; two daughters, Donna Munsterman of Agency and Misty Amos, St. Josephx; two brothers, Tony Brashears of Cameron and Lowell "Sonny" Brashears of St. Joseph; one sister, Sue Fannon of St. Joseph; and five grandchildren.

Besides his parents, one brother, Ronald Brashears, also preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hillcrest Bible Church.

Inurnment will be at later date in the High Ridge Cemetery at Stanberry.

Clark-Sampson Funeral Home of St. Joseph is in charge of arrangements.
