Born Oct. 17, 1940, to Nettie Fisher Henely of Webster City, Iowa and the late Francis Henely, he was of the Catholic belief and a self-employed automobile dealer.
On Dec. 31, 1991, in Dayton, Iowa, he married Berneda Goldman, who survives of the home in Puxico.
Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and David Long of Goshen, Ind., Joni and Mike Duffy of Humboldt, Iowa, and Dora and Mike Burma of Boone, Iowa; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Karen Kiger of Dexter; three stepdaughters and two sons-in-law, Teresa Friese, Tina and Daivd Hale and Kim and Eric Lang of Dexter; one brother, Daniel Henely of Duncombe, Iowa; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Revs. Dale Holman and Jimmy Kirby will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
