SIKESTON - Trouble from Halloween pranksters has dropped off since the Sikeston community party for children began at the old Middle School gymnasium. Rick Toon, community relations officer, said malicious deeds have decreased tremendously. "Ever since we started the Halloween program, it's been down, " Toon said.

SIKESTON - Jennifer Lyn Tollison, daughter of Jim and Becky Tollison of Morehouse and a senior at Sikeston Senior High School, was chosen by the Elks as their October student of the month. Tollinson is a member of the National Honor Society, Concert Chorale, Math Club, Quad State Choir and Drama Club. Students are judged on the basis of multiple achievement, character, leadership, service, citizenship and scholastic aptitude.
