CHAFFEE -- David Pepple, 76, died at 3:40 a.m. Nov. 2, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 6, 1932, at Bernie, to the late David K. and Dessie M. Holt Pepple, he retired as an engineer from Burlington Northern Railway in Chaffee. He served as an electronics instructor in the Air Force and was a member of First Untied Methodist Church in Chaffee. He was an adult Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the Scott City Promise Keepers.
On Aug. 8, 1954, he married Maxine Finch, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, David F. Pepple of Chaffee and Daniel R. Pepple of Pineville, La.; two daughters, Linda D. Pepple of Oxford, Fla., and Brenda S. Pepple of Chaffee; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Frank Hustead officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
