FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- Timothy Shay Jones, 28, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Nov. 1, 2008, at Fort Walton Beach.
Born Dec. 18, 1979, in Sikeston, son of Lenny C. and Brenda Kay Graham Hawkins of Bloomfield, Mo., he worked as a deck hand on oil rigs.
Other survivors include his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty James of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn Aaron and Windy Dawn Jones of Mary Esther; one uncle, Denny L. Hawkins of Sikeston; two aunts, Betty L. Hawkins and Kimberly F. James, both of Sikeston; one nephew, Calvin Shay Jones of Mary Esther; two nieces, Virginia Ann Jones and Erin DeLaney Jones of Sikeston; and four cousins, Judith Shropshire, Justin Q. Hawkins, Courtney Ann Hawkins and Emma Faith Baker.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy O. Williams; and one aunt, Norma M. Ingole.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ron Spell, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley, Mo.
