Consignment shop opens in Benton

BENTON -- Times 2, a consignment shop, recently opened in Benton and is accepting consignment items for sale.

Items must be clean and in good condition. Staff prices and sells items and the proceeds are split 50/50. The selection includes gently used clothes and shoes for the entire family, purses, toys, housewares, movies, games and other miscellaneous items.

Times 2 is located just off Interstate 55 on Highway 77 in Benton, across from Reeves Boomland.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, or to arrange for items to be dropped off, call 573-427-0171.

UPS employee recognized for safety

EARTH CITY -- Dewayne Self, a package car driver for UPS, was recently recognized by the company for completing 20 years without an accident.

Self works out of the facility located at 117 Larcel, Sikeston.

He presently provides service in the Bloomfield area.

District Manager Ray Bernick presented Dewayne Self with the 20-year safe driving award, recognizing his achievement.

Self and his wife, Wendy, live in Sikeston.
