BLOOMFIELD -- Larry Marvel, 63, died Nov. 5, 2008, at his home.
Born July 21, 1945, at Crowder, to the late Sherman and Mae Stelle Marvel, he had lived in the Dexter and Bloomfield area most of his life. He was a laborer for Walker Construction, a past member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie and a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include: fiancee, Freda McAnnally of Bloomfield; two sons, Scott Marvel of Pacific and Bo Marvel of Dexter; one daughter, Kim Cornell of Dexter; two stepsons, Ed Hare of Bloomfield and Gary Dollar of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Barbara Curtis of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two sisters, JoAnne Jones of St. Louis and Mary Lou Kasting of Ellsinore; and 16 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Marvel.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter followed by a graveside service at 10 a.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Dr. Michael Coleman of Sikeston will officiate.
