Thanks for the coverage

I want to send a thank you out to Chris Pobst and David Jenkins for the coverage of the Dexter Varsity Volleyball team. It was great! I am a parent of one of the girls on the team. I appreciate the fact that Mr. Jenkins took pics of the different girls and not just one or two. And articles Mr. Pobst wrote always tried to mention all the girls on the team that played. I greatly appreciated that. I hope that they will continue their coverage of the girls next year during the volleyball season. Thank you again! Dana Curtis (Elisha Flanigan - No. 10 on the Dexter Volleyball Varsity Team)

Honk if you're lazy

I was just wondering why it is so hard for people to get out of their vehicles and walk up to the door and knock. Instead they want to stay outside and honk their horn continuously. It is very annoying and disturbing to others. Can you please have common courtesy for neighbors and stop doing that?

Curfew enforcement

This is to the Sikeston Police Department. Please enforce the curfew in Sikeston. You know, you'll see young people out there on the streets at 1, 2 and 3 o'clock in the morning. Usually they are going to commit some type of crime. It's still the law here in Sikeston. I don't know what the time limit is on the curfew, I believe it's 10 o'clock. I don't know what the problem is. You guys are out driving at night patrolling the neighborhood. You see it every night so why aren't you enforcing the curfew? It would cut down on much crime here in Sikeston. My neighbors and my family have talked about this for a long, long time. I believe it's time to start enforcing the curfew. We respect the police department. You have a dangerous job and we realize that, but I don't know why you can't enforce the curfew. I think the parents should know where their kids are.

Canalou Camille

I understand that someone is writing a book about Canalou, Mo. My name is Camille Mitchell Newingham. I am originally from Canalou and have pictures of the chartering of the First Baptist Church and other pictures around that time. If you need these pictures, call 573-396-5514. I was born in 1918, so I know quite a bit about Canalou.
